On Saturday I set up shop at The Rochester Flea, the rain held off thankfully for the sellers outside, however we were indoors, with a fantastic pitch (Thanks to the gorgeous Tracy)
And what a great day it was, catching up with some old friends and meeting some new, The Rochester Flea has a great buzz full of creative minds & fashionistas with a real friendly atmosphere
We were selling mainly vintage & quality fashion clothing, vintage & bohemian jewellery and handbags, which seemed to go down really well.
I’d just like to say a huge Thank You to everyone you came along and shopped or browsed at Desdemona Style & Vintage, after all these years I still get such a thrill seeing someone walk away looking really pleased with their new purchase, or just to think I’ve helped them find that little sum’n sum’n they’ve been searching for.
Here is the fabulous Zara Carpenter in some of her jewellery she bought from us at the weekend
Zara really is one to watch as she has fantastic style and is an amazing “Maker of beautiful things” Zaras hats would of given Isabella Blow a run for her money!
……..and here is one of Zaras’ sculptures, Persephone, made using gathered and found objects (silk flowers, birds wings, insects) isn’t it just the most beautiful thing you ever did see?!
You can see all what Zara has to offer on her website www.zaracarpenter.com
Another beautiful lady I met was Kathy Keefe, I’d like to say our very own Advanced Style fashionista but I’m sure she’s too young for that! Check Kathy out with her Frida Kahlo hair…
Kathy is a great artist with paintings of Frida and she paints her own SHOES!!! I couldn’t get the shoes in the photo I took Saturday so I’ve stolen a photo from her Facebook page (hope you don’t mind Kathy)
I can not wait to see some of her fantastic work in the flesh. so inspirational.
you can check her Facebook page out here Kathy Keefe Originals
Right, that’s me done, Thanks for reading, I’m off to sort through my shoes and see which ones I can ruin by trying to paint them!
Ta Ta for now xxx
